Daily Picture Theme - Hedgerow
This hedgerow grows in my backyard corner. It is filled with
milkweed, started from one seed, grown into one plant,
and then like wildfire, it spread underground and
fills the area. Milkweed, in various varieties, is the only
host plant for Monarch Butterflies. Just today
I saw one flitting around this milkweed garden.
What a wonderful thing you've done by planting a milkweed hedge to support the monarch butterflies! 🦋🌱
ReplyDeleteThey are such beautiful creatures — sadly, I haven’t had the chance to see one in real life yet.
Sending all the best from Austria 🇦🇹 and wishing you a beautiful weekend!

Thanks so much. They are like a jewel floating in the air. They glow, and glow, and glow. I hope you see one at some point.
DeleteThat's a great photo and I love the trees in the background too. Wonderfly to see the butterflies fluttering :-D
ReplyDeleteThat is a vitex tree and happily, today, I was able to photograph a Yellow swallowtail as it sipped nectar from the purple flowers.
