We headed to Delaware Bay, Fortescue Creek, NJ, a few weeks ago, to catch a Striper off the beach. We had no luck catching the big fish, but on the way there, we spotted three eagles in the trees and stopped to take a photo of them. Two are shown here. It is the first time I have seen more than two eagles at one time in the same area. It is rare to see two simultaneously, but three seems miraculous.
When we arrived at Fortescue, while my husband stood on the beach with dozens of other hopeful fishermen, I rode my bike around the town. In the distance, no, could it be, maybe? I zoomed in with my camera, and yes, another eagle in a bare-limbed tree. It was definitely a day blessed with these majestic birds.

Wonderful photos :-D I really like the last one :-D
ReplyDeleteMany times, when we spot them, they are in sparsely branched trees like this one. Eagles are such beautiful birds.
DeleteThe last is my favourite!
