Sepia Saturdays - Celebrations/Christmas/1963

I think the year is most likely 1963.
A Christmas tree on the right shows
it is a celebration, fitting in with
Sepia Saturday's theme for December.
I think the place is the home of my Mom's cousin.
Thanks to the host for the challenge.

In the photograph I am on the left, as always holding some sort of doll.
I'm sure this was my Christmas dolly, my Mom enjoyed buying
them almost as much as I enjoyed receiving them.

Mom sits beside me, Dad is next to her, and Granny on his left.
My sister Susan is looking at something Granny is showing her.
This photograph brings back wonderful memories.

  1. Every Christmas photo is full of memories, even if we can't always remember the full details of who, what, and where. It's the family sentiments and feelings of holiday cheer that stay with us. I'm glad you mentioned the doll. At first glance I mistook it/her as another sister! Best wishes for the new year!

    1. She was called a 'walking doll', and if you held her arm and moved it up and down she would walk alongside of you. I don't think I ever go the coordination of it down correctly.

  2. A lovely casual family 'portrait' perfect for Christmas. Hope you had a merry one this year, and Happy New Year!

    1. Thanks, I love those old photographs with family. It looks like a candid shot with most of us caught unaware.
