Seagulls on the Beach - Saturday Critters

This cute little seagull watched us as we ate Cheddar Cheese puffs on the beach. It was a grey day, but in my opinion, any day I can sit on the beach, watch the waves, and listen to the call of the gulls is a good day.

Photos taken in Ocean City, New Jersey. This post is part of Viewing Nature with Eileen/Saturday Critters. Thank you to the host.

  1. I feel the same way about sitting on the beach listening to the waves and the gulls calling. Great photo.
    Have a happy weekend.

  2. Thank you so much. I'm afraid I forgot to use Mr. Linky until just a few minutes ago and left a link in the comment instead. Sorry about that...will try to remember next week. I have a multitude of critters around me to choose from so this is a wonderful challenge to take part in.

  4. Gulls are fascinating. It’s a challenge to identify them by species — of which there are around 23 in North America — though some of them are obvious.

    1. There were at least two varieties on the beach we were on. This is one of the smaller ones.

    1. Thanks, he seemed to have a laid-back personality for a gull, they are usually very raucous.

  8. Lovely photos of your buddy looking for a handout. It's been forever since I was near a beach, but I grew up by a lake and the days when the beaches were void of people were the best. Windy days were even better with the waves.

    1. Summer is crowded on the beaches near me. At this time of year, the children are back in school, and there are fewer people. I also like to walk along lakes, rivers, and the Delaware Bay.
