Floral Friday Fotos - Zinnia

A gorgeous orange zinnia with a Black Swallowtail butterfly seems to shout out Autumn, although both do best in the high heat of summer. My zinnias are almost finished in the garden. They are still blooming, but the foliage has turned dry and brown due to mildew gaining the upper hand. At this time of year, my best solution is to cut away the flowers, dehydrate them to use for decoration throughout winter, and discard the plant.

This beautiful zinnia and butterfly are part of Floral Friday Fotos. Thank you to the host for this great weekly challenge.

  2. Thank you. It is amazing what an old fence can do. Sometimes weatherbeaten is better than new.
