Saturday Critter Challenge - Monarch Caterpillar and Chrysalis

The Monarch Caterpillar in the middle will soon shed his skin and
create a lovely chrysalis flecked with gold.

  1. Thanks. The Monarchs are very scarce this year so I was really happy to help six along to maturity. Birds don't eat the poisonous caterpillars, but many bugs are not affected by the toxins from the Milkweed. I also raise Black Swallowtail butterflies throughout the summer. Thanks for visiting the blog and the coments.

  4. They are so much fun to watch. The last one is off the Milkweed leaves and looking for his place to hang.

  5. Is that net specifically for them or just coincidence they located themselves there? #Saturdycritters
